Olympus just announced that they are going to release a compact digital camera specialized for taking photos at construction sites - OLYMPUS STYLUS TG-3 工一郎 (pronounced as Koichiro in Japanese) - sometime in July.

On May 28 (U.S.A. time) in San Francisco, Samsung introduced their latest project, which focuses on healthcare related technology, called Samsung Digital Health. It is to encourage start-ups to develop highly-sophisticated health control devices or services that combine advanced sensor, algorithm, data collection, and analysis capability.

The Japanese reasonably priced rotating Sushi chain, Kura Corportation, known as Kura Zushi in Japan, just unveiled 2 new questionable sushi dishes: Caramel Banana Sushi and Caramel Corn Mayo.

They were created as a collaboration project between Kura Corporation and the Japanese major confectionery company, Morinaga & Company. They're going to be available for a limited time until July 17.

A collaboration project of interesting burgers called - MOSDO! - between the Japanese burger chain, Mos Burger, and the doughnut chain, Mister Donut, was just released today.

Google's new HDMI streaming media player "Chromecast" mirrors online content such as TV shows, movies and music from smartphones, tablets, and notebook PCs to a TV screen.

Panasonic is going to release 2 new models from their compact LCD TV series "Portable VIERA" on June 15. Portable VIERA is a TV with a handle which allows you to move it easily from one room to another.

Nikon Instech, Nikon's affiliate company, announced today its release of a new portable 3D scanner "P3D NC-2323S" on June 1. The price will be around 3,800,000 yen.

P3D NC-2323S allows you to measure easily without using a PC. With the LCD touch-panel and simple graphical user interface, even a person who uses it for the first time can obtain 3D data of the object just by aiming it towards the object and pressing the shutter button.

Japan Airlines is going to start offering a special in-flight meal jointly developed with Kumamoto prefecture which is located in the southern island of Kyushu. The name of the in-flight meal is (of course) named after THAT famous bear character mascot, "Air Kumamon".
