Autumn in Shiba Kōen (park), directly adjacent to Tokyo Tower, is a beautiful time of year. The trees surrounding the Zōjō-ji Temple change into brilliant yellow, orange, and red hues. It is truly beautiful, and we hope you enjoy this scenery, a beautiful place in the heart of Tokyo, as much as we enjoyed filming it for you.
Part of the Tokyo Tower-adjacent Zojo-Ji Temple, this cemetery, or garden, is unique in manParty ways since, unlike usual cemeteries, you will not find any graves, but hundreds of small stone statues that parents can choose and decorate with small clothing and toys for their unborn child or children.
What stands out the most at the 425-year-old Zojo-Ji Temple grounds is the striking contrast between old and new Japan. While the surrounding neighborhood is dominated by modem buildings and Tokyo Tower, Zojo-Ji feels like it’s in a time bubble where everything moves at a much slower pace.
Tokyo Seaside Upper Observatory, located on top of WTCB or Tokyo World Trade Center, is the place where all those Tokyo photographers get all those amazing shots of the city. Enjoy gorgeous scenic views of Odaiba, Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Skytree, and Shiodome in a relatively relaxing and casual setting.
Tokyo Tower is in fact thinner than the Eiffel Tower, but 13 meters taller at 333 total. For over half a century, it was the pinnacle of Tokyo and the best place to enjoy a unique view of the region thanks to its two observation decks (at 150m and 250m).
It was revealed that Tokyo Tower will be cast in pink-colored light for one day only to celebrate the official announcement by the Japan Meteorological Agency that cherry blossom trees in Tokyo are in bloom.
The project is the first attempt for Tokyo Tower and it is called Sakura Kaika Pink Diamond Veil (Sakura Kaika means "blossoming of the cherry blossoms"). According to some weather sources, the announcement will be made sometime this week.
