Considering the nature of modified cars, that’s really what is most important: giving the owner more options to make their ride their own...Japan Style.

Nikon Business in Health and Medical Investment in Retina Institute Japan, K.K.

Nikon Corporation announced today that it signed an agreement to invest in Retina Institute Japan, K.K. (RIJ).

Under the agreement, Nikon will subscribe for 500 million yen worth of shares issued by RIJ.

Together, Nikon and RIJ will collaborate on developing practical uses of medical treatments for age-related macular degeneration.  RIJ has been working on the world's first case of regenerative medicine using iPS cell technology, utilizing Nikon's own core technology in optics and imaging.

Panasonic Gorilla Eye Car Navigation

The days of taking a drive and relying on fond memories to remember the scenery along the way are over.

Panasonic has announced the "Gorilla Eye" portable car navigation system (CN-GP737VD).  5 new models of the "Gorilla" system will be released sequentially beginning on September 20th of this year, with the "Gorilla Eye" model due out in the beginning of December.

New Cutie Honey OVA

To commemorate 40 years since the birth of the Cutie Honey manga and movie series, "New Cutie Honey" OVA (original video animation) will be released on December 6th.

Also, "Cutie Honey Complete" on Blu-Ray will be released on October 11th.

Fans are excited about the coming release.  New material has not been released since the famous film, produced by Gainax, directed by Hideaki Anno and starring Eriko Sato and the 3-episode OVA series, also produced by Gainax, in 2004, and a TV series on TV Tokyo in 2007.
