The first of 2 new ultra-wide lenses for EOS (digital single lens reflex camera) series announced today by Canon for release next month.
It belongs to Canon's high-performance L lens series. It is an F4 wide lens covering the focal range 16-35mm. 3 aspheric lens elements including a glass-molded aspheric lens element are used. The lens construction consists of 16 elements in 12 groups.

ZIP Cable Pouch is made out of one long cable case that has a long zipper along its lining, within which you can store a USB cable. You can zip its entire length shut and it turns into a pouch for storing other things like a portable battery, etc. There is also a small pouch attached outside so that you can keep something smaller like a USB drive there.
Panasonic's new 4K30p movie-shootable wearable camera HX-A500 will be available for about ¥42,000 on June 12.
HX-A500 has a unique style where its body and lens parts are separated. So, while the lens is positioned and worn, you can control the camera through the body part.
Olympus is going to release the latest flagship model of their rugged compact digital camera series - OLYMPUS STYLUS TG-3 Tough - for about ¥48,000 in the beginning of July.
The new model adds a macro photography mode that enables an approach of as close as 10mm to an object from its lens. In that mode, it can zoom up to 6.9X when the focal distance is 100mm (35mm equivalent), and when used in conjunction with super-resolution zoom, it is able to shoot the object in 13.8X zoom.
Takara Tomy Arts is going to release a beer server called Premium Beer Server Gokurei (gokurei means "super cold") on May 22.
Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced that it will collaborate with Japan Post Co., Ltd. - Japan's postal service - to
release new 3D “Casio Art” paintings, using special postage stamp designs.
The stamps will be released on July 23, or "Fumi no Hi" (Day of the Letter) and the paintings will be sold at “e-casio” which is Casio’s official online shopping website. The paintings will also be sold through shops operated by Casio Group companies.
