Beginning late last year, AkihabaraNews rededicated itself to conducting more in-depth, multimedia product reviews. It’s gone well: contributors and editors have doubled down, and both the results and response have been great (Thanks, readers!).
This week we've learned that Japan's formed a body to (very softly) police/advise on cryptocurrencies like BitCoin, Japan's 3D printing industry showing more and more life signs, and a relatively unknown powered exoskeleton maker is seeing some pretty cool progress!

When you use a device such as a smartphone, tablet or iPhone for a long time, you might notice too late that the battery is almost about to run out.
But if you have Thanko's new portable solar-powered battery, it will charge up the decreasing battery while you are not even thinking about it.

Crocs is going to start selling the burger-like Crocband Hamburger Clog for 4,900 yen on July 15 in Japan. It will be sold exclusively at their online store.
Crocband Hamburger Clog is made based on Crocs's classic "Crocband" model, and has the design of a burger over the entire edge of the sandal.
The new mascot character, "Toranomon" of the new Tokyo skyscraper complex Toranomon Hills has been receiving great response, and tons of people have already visited there to take a photo with Toranomon's statue.
