Terra Motors - Girl character design electric scooter

Terra Motors unveiled a new electric scooter in collaboration with Yumenosora Holdings, the Japanese manga/animation/character goods retailer.

This 1st collaboration product is an electric scooter that has the design of a female character called Calne Ca (Ca is pronounced, Shee-eh) created by Deino. It was displayed in public at the character contents fair "Character1" that took place yesterday at Tokyo Big Sight.

Classic humanoid robot designed mobile battery

Pleiades System Designs, Inc. released classic humanoid robot designed mobile battery "OZAKI O!tool Battery 2600mAh".

To charge the mobile battery, open the cover on the robot's mouth. The cover protects the connection from dust and particles.

It is able to fully charge an iPhone one time. It has an LED light to check the remaining power and a place to attach a strap.
 

Canon's EF interchangeable lens achieves 100 million units

100,000,000 EF lenses!

Canon today announced that on April 22, Canon achieved production of one hundred million of its EF lens (interchangeable lens for the EOS series). As an interchangeable lens, EF lens for the EOS series became the most manufactured camera lens in the world.

Canon started manufacturing the EF lens in 1987. The 100 millionth model that was manufactured was the "EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM Extender 1.4x".

 

 

 

 

Shop at the SAMURAI store and Be a Kimono Man

Nihonwasou Holdings, Inc., a retailer of the Japanese traditional dress, Kimono, is just about to open their 2nd Kimono specialized store for men called - SAMURAI - in Kyoto.

Nihonwasou opened the SAMURAI store in order to encourage guys to wear Kimono more and represent Japan better. Their first store is located in Ginza, Tokyo.

In the poster, Girolamo Panzetta, who is a popular Italian male model and TV figure in Japan, looks great in a Kimono and shows how to be a perfect Kimono Man.

FamilyMart installing electric vehicle charging stations

Japanese convenience store, FamilyMart, just announced they are installing charging stations for next‐generation vehicles (EV, Electric Vehicle/ PHEV, Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) at roughly 500 of its stores all over Japan after this summer.

As of this month, 34 FamilyMart stores already have charging stations installed.

Gundam's enemy, Neo Zeon version rapid train runs in Osaka

Rapi:t collaborates with the new Mobile Suit Gundam movie, Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn.

Rapi:t, a popular sharp-looking rapid train running between Kansai International Airport and Namba in Osaka, is normally colored in blue. However for a limited time until the end of June, the exterior of some of the Rapi:t trains has been changed to red, which is the color of Gundam's enemy, Neo Zeon. The special trains will make a maximum of 8 round trips every day.

3D Scanner "matterform" will be available in Japan in June

BRULÉ, Inc., Japanese retailer of foreign goods, is going to start selling Canadian 3D scanner "matterform" in early June.

"matterform" scans 2,000 points of an object placed on its turntable per second using an HD camera and 2 lasers. Maximum size of a scannable object is W190xH250xL190mm. The minimum scannable resolution is 0.43mm. You can choose a scanning file among STL, OBJ and PLY.

Regarding scanning time, it takes 5 minutes for High-speed and 10 minutes for High-quality mode.
