Panasonic - LUMIX DMC-FZ1000 - the world's first 4K-capable compact digital camera

Panasonic announced that they are going to release the world's first compact digital camera with 4K video recording capability - LUMIX DMC-FZ1000 - on July 17.

It will be sold for around 100,000 yen.

LUMIX DMC-FZ1000 is able to record 4K video (3,840×2,160) at up to 30 fps in the MP4 format. There is also a built-in functionality called "4K PHOTO" to capture 8MP images in the 4K video footage. It can also output 1920×1080 60fps full HD resolution video.

Asratec - V-Sido OS for humanoid robot

SoftBank group is showing that it is really serious about the humanoid robot business.

SoftBank's subsidiary company, Asratec Corp. today introduced control software for humanoid robots - called V-Sido OS. They expect that V-Sido OS will be installed in future robots which will be introduced by many companies.

ASUS - New 7-inch and 8-inch tablets will be out shortly in Japan

ASUSTeK Computer, a Taiwanese computer peripheral company, is going to release 2 new tablet models from their Android tablet "ASUS MeMO Pad" series soon in Japan.

On June 13, 7-inch model ASUS MeMO Pad 7 ME176 will be released. After that, 8-inch tablet ASUS MeMO Pad 8 ME181 will be released on June 20.

SCE - PlayStation TV for North American and European Market

Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) is going to start selling new product PlayStation TV in European countries and the U.S. this fall.   

PlayStation TV is a non-portable version of the PlayStation Vita handheld game console. It has been already released in Japan and other Asian counties in November 2013 as "PlayStation Vita TV". While "PlayStation Vita TV" is in white, the new PlayStation TV is in black.
