Keio University: Advanced nanometer-scale manufacturing technologies

The precision of manufacturing technology has advanced from the micrometer to sub-micrometer level, and recently, to the nanometer scale. In the near future, manufacturing techniques are expected to reach the precision level of operating individual atoms.

Princeton - 8 countries design portable mini speakers - "Mini Buddy"

Princeton is going to release the Christmas ornament-like portable mini speaker series Mini Buddy, manufactured by British audio accessory brand KitSound, on May 31.

On the surface of each globe-shaped speaker, A world map or the flag designs of 8 countries are painted. There are 9 different designs: World Map, Brazil, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Japan, Portugal, and England.

Nikon Instech - Portable 3D scanner

Nikon Instech, Nikon's affiliate company, announced today its release of a new portable 3D scanner "P3D NC-2323S" on June 1. The price will be around 3,800,000 yen.

P3D NC-2323S allows you to measure easily without using a PC. With the LCD touch-panel and simple graphical user interface, even a person who uses it for the first time can obtain 3D data of the object just by aiming it towards the object and pressing the shutter button.
