King Jim is going to start selling a coating for smartphone touch-panel displays called "i glaco" on November 21. It was jointly developed by King Jim and SOFT99 corporation, a company that sells glass coating for cars.
Apply i glaco on the touch panel and wipe it off with a Kleenex. After 2 hours of drying, a coating film is generated and it sheds fingerprints and skin oil.
Dr. Yoshiyuki Kaneda serves as manager of R&D projects for the HPCI strategic program field 3 -Advanced Prediction Research for Natural Disaster Prevention and Reduction-conducting research for improvement of prediction accuracy of earthquakes and tsunamis. This research has three main themes: earthquake, tsunami, and evaluation of damage to cities caused by earthquakes and tsunamis. This research is conducted by using the K computer.
Sharp is releasing a ceiling-mounted ion generator with built-in LED light for washroom (IG-GTA20) on November 20.
Using Sharp's original sterilization technology, called Plasmacluster, the ion generator eliminates bacteria that cause bad smells and deodorizes the room. Since it has the same attachment part as a regular bulb, it can be installed easily in the washroom at your house.
At Keio University, the Ryogo Kubo Laboratory, in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering (Faculty of Science and Technology), aims to help achieve a society that’s friendly to people and the environment from the viewpoint of infrastructure services. The Laboratory does research in the fields of control engineering, to enable systems to be operated freely, and information and communications engineering, to connect multiple systems through networks.
