It’s the first of October here in Japan, and we’ve decided to start gearing up for Halloween early. In doing so, today brings our inaugural J-Halloween Prep 2014 post, and stay tuned for more. Why so early? And why are we doing so in Japan?

Takara Tomy - Lie detecter toy - Kokoro Scanner

Takara Tomy is going to release a lie detecter toy - "Kokoro Scanner" - to indicate the level of your physiological disturbance in different colors. It will be available for 2,500 yen on October 30.

When a person gets nervous, the flow of his blood becomes faster.  Kokoro Scanner utilizes the phenomenon and detects if you are lying or not, as shown by the color of the light.

Green - You are relaxed and not lying.

Panasonic - Technics-brand high-end speaker system

Panasonic is going to release an ultra high-end speaker system SB-R1 under its Technics brand. It is a build-to order product and will be released for 1,340,000 yen in February.

Technics is Panasonic's brand for audio devices. It was discontinued in 2010, but Panasonic recently discussed the revival of the brand on September 4th. The new high-end speaker system SB-R1 will be one of the first products celebrating the brand's revival.

Sony - Interchangeable cable to make earphones Bluetooth-compatible

is going to release an interchangeable cable unit MUC-M1BT1 that makes Sony's XBA series wired, in-ear headphones Bluetooth compliant.

The MUC-M1BT1 cable supports in-ear headphones from the XBA-Z5, A3, A2, H3, H2 series. Just like changing the original cable to the accompanying cable, you can attach MUC-M1BT1 to the in-ear headphones.
