Toyota - FV2 - Futuristic vehicle controlled through weight shift

 

At the Tokyo Motor Show 2013, Toyota will be showing a futuristic car - TOYOTA FV2 - which can be steered and moved forward and backward instinctively through shifting your weight.

In its basic operation, the FV2 is best controlled while the driver is standing up, however, it is not easy or convenient to remain standing while driving, so this car can be controlled from a sitting position.

The developers are planning to create a long distance model specifically designed to be driven while sitting down.

 

Flexibile, high definition CAAC-OS displays from SEL

 

SEL have developed a range of flexible OLED displays and high PPI LCD panels which use CAAC oxide semiconductors.

"CAAC stands for C-Axis Aligned Crystal. In this material's structure, the crystals are aligned in the c-axis direction. Because CAAC itself is crystalline instead of amorphous, it has much higher reliability. Until now, with oxide semiconductors, reliability was generally thought to be a problem, but using this material solves that problem."
