Bandai - Sushi figures transform into the original ingredients

Bandai is going to release a new Sushi figures series called - Gyakusaisei Motomodoru Sushimodoru - (long name!!) to their Gachapon machines on January 22. It's a machine that you insert coins, turn the nob, and get a random capsule toy.

These sushi figures are transformative. Their parts can be disassembled and you can assemble them into the original ingredients of the sushi, for example a tuna sushi figure can be transformed into a whole tuna fish.

Calbee - KFC collaborated "Colonel Crispy" potato chips

Potato chips… meet Colonel Sanders!

Calbee and Kentucky Fried Chicken collaborated to make a new type of potato chips that will be out on January 6.

The flavor is Colonel Crispy, which is based on KFC's "Colonel Crispy" boneless crispy fried chicken.  The chips have stronger garlic and soy sauce taste added on. Sounds like a seriously delicious taste!

Udon Energy - AkihabaraNews.com

Generate electric power by UDON!? Electric power company will add it to the grid this Month

Kagawa prefecture, located on Shikoku (the smallest of the 4 main islands of Japan), is famous for having perhaps the best Udon noodles in Japan. It's the smallest prefecture in Japan, but they have more than 900 Udon restaurants across the prefecture (as compared to only 300 convenience stores in the prefecture).

A lot of udon gets eaten in Kagawa but a lot of excess udon gets generated as well and typically goes to waste.
