ARES - Android 4.0 smartwatch enables you to call, email and use apps

ARES Inc., Japanese sports GPS device production company, is going to release watch-style Android device ARES EC309 for 29,800 yen in the beginning of February. It allows you to do data communication and make a phone call via a 3G (WCDMA) connection with a micro SIM.

Unlike a regular watch style device that works well by connecting with a smartphone via Bluetooth, ARES EC309 enables you to connect internet, send emails, download applications bought from Google Play directly.

Sony - Smart Tennis Sensor - Instantly analyze your shots and check the data by smartphone

For tennis players, Sony is going to release Smart Tennis Sensor (SSE-TN1), which is capable of analyzing your tennis shots instantly, in late May.

The detailed data of your tennis shots will be displayed on your smartphone or tablet screen. To do that, install the dedicated free application in your smartphone or tablet and connect it to Smart Tennis Sensor via a Bluetooth connection.

LG - 23.8 inch full HD "frameless" AH-IPS display

LG announced that they are going to start selling 23.8 inch full HD sleek display 24MP76HM-S for ¥27,800 in late January in Japan.

Since LG adopted the virtually frameless New CINEMA SCREEN design, the width of the frame part of the display is only 5.6mm, which is about half the width in its previous model.

It is 23.8 inch (1920x1080) AH-IPS panel, 1,000:1 contrast (maximum 1 million:1), 250cd/m2 luminance. It has 2 HDMI, a D-Sub, a 3.5mm analogue stereo input, a stereo minijack, and 5W+5W speaker.

Sony - IC recorder with a speaker cradle

Sony is going to release new portable IC recorder ICZ-R100 with 8GB capacity on February 8. It's capable of recording for a maximum of 357 continuous hours, registering your favorite radio stations, with a recording maximum of 20 AM/FM radio programs.

ICZ-R100 comes with a speaker cradle that features a Bass reflex system to make a full, rich sound. While you set the IC recorder on the speaker cradle, you can charge the IC recorder and listen to the radio at the same time.
