Create you own 2.5” SSD Drive yourself!

Are you getting tired of your heavy, noisy, and old hard disk? Do you dream of assembling your own SSD (Solid State Disk)? Well, Century gives you that possibility with their SDB25SD, an enclosure that can receive up to four 2GB SD cards (SDHC is not supported) for a total of 8GB. Even if the idea is great, the lack of support for SDHC makes this solution not very appealing, as Vista, for example, cannot install on an 8GB partition. However, XP and Linux will install without any problems.

If this supported 4GB sd cards then it might be reasonable; given you can now buy 8GB sdhc cards, put them in a USB card reader and boot the computer off usb, this product is already obsolete!

Answer to the previous comment : The older Laptop Motherboards DO NOT have boot from USB support,AND usually they CANNOT work with the new, larger 2,5" Hdisks.
So in these cases,it still remains the only replacement !!! >>> Not obsolete at all !
