TOKYO TRAIN TUNES: Yamanote Line (VIDEO SERIES)
There is something about the Yamanote line and its 39 stations that you could miss: the platform tunes vary from station to station, and JR has commissioned somewhere around 100 unique departure melodies for use all over the Tokyo Metro area. You might not think you hear them, but your brain does!
Our older readers feel that Akihabara = Special, Cool, Rare Japanese Tech, which is fair and reasonable and truly the soul of our site. The life-size, more "realistic" models were kinda meh, but the pre-Transformers Diaclone and Microman toys, along with generational collections covering yearly character iterations, themes, and variants, in addition to some super-obscure Japan-only figures - that's where the magic was...and we finally found this lost gallery!
