We humans need, or at least want ever more powerful computers - the kind of machines that, one day, probably will power minds far more intelligent and capable than our own. Could Japan's new supercomputer copy/paste the instructions for true, super-human artificial intelligence into a robot? Ummmm...

History of Japanese Timekeeping Through a CASIO-Colored Lens (VIDEO)
A quick jump in to the history of Japanese timekeeping, starting with Emperor Tenji, who got the ball rolling more than 1,300 years ago, all the way up to CASIO, who're keeping the faith and pushing their tech harder and harder. Nice watch - bit of history, bit of tech, and very pretty images.
There are of course legions of non-Japanese anime fans around the world, but just as many find it quite impenetrable; we recently discovered a robotics-focused promotional piece that seemed yet another difficult example...at first, but then the feature turned out to be a very pleasant surprise.
