Yamaha Releases American English Vocaloid Software

Yamaha announced the release of PC software "VOCALOID4 Library CYBER DIVA" that creates a natural English-speaker singing voice.

It will be sold for about ¥10,800 in early February.

Yamaha hired a native English speaker from the U.S. and spent 2 years to seek out the most comfortable natural American English accent and clear and strong vocalization compatible with all sorts of songs.

There is a Growl function that could be useful to create very human-like voices especially for rock, soul, and blues music.
