Elecom - Wristband-style activity monitor

Elecom is going to release a wristband-style active monitor HCW-WAM01 in mid-September. The price will be around 6,980 yen.

HCW-WAM01 is capable of measuring/recording your physical activities (such as the distance you traveled during the day and calorie consumption) and sleep state, using its built-in accelerometer. Recorded data can be forwarded to your smartphone via Bluetooth network and checked on a free application called HELLO!, which is compatible with both iOS and Android devices.

The HELLO! app enables you to save up to 7 day's worth of detailed data, for example, the number of hourly steps, and the data is fully charted. For sleep status, HCW-WAM01 records the total hours of your sleep and hours of light sleep or deep sleep.

Only the number of steps and calorie consumption for the current day are viewable on the monitor' screen.

It can be charged with the accompanying USB cable. It takes about 2 hours to get a full charge, and after that it, can run about 5 days.
