Casio - EXILIM EX-ZR50 for selfie-lovers

Casio is going to release compact digital camera EX-ZR50 on September 12 from its EXILIM series. The estimated price is 40,000 yen.

EX-ZR50 allows its LCD monitor and guide buttons to tilt 180 degrees, which allows for good selfie pictures and low-angle shots. In addition to a regular shutter button, it has a front shutter button so that you can press at the best time while checking how you look like with the tilted monitor. There is also a motion shutter function which enables you to release the shutter just by waving your hand towards the LCD monitor.

There are more functions to enhance your beauty such as Make-up Mode that makes your skin look better with your selected skin color and Make-up Bracketing that takes 3 continuos shots while varying your skin color.

EX-ZR50 has EXILIM Engine HS Ver.3 image processor, effective 16.79MP 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor, 3.0-inch TFT color LCD monitor, and Wi-Fi ability. The lens covers a focal distance of 25 to 250mm (35mm equivalent).

Panasonic has announced the Lumix GM, an ultra compact 16MP Micro Four Thirds camera, which will be released in Japan in late November.

KenkoTokina, Japanese manufacturer and distributor of optical products and photographic accessories, is going to release a compact digital camera DSC1655Z on October 20.

DSC1655Z will be sold for only 9,400 yen, however it features a Time-Lapse function that takes still images at regular time intervals and automatically makes a movie by putting them together. You can set the interval for 30 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, or 60 minutes.
