Casio - EXILIM EX-ZR50 for selfie-lovers

Casio is going to release compact digital camera EX-ZR50 on September 12 from its EXILIM series. The estimated price is 40,000 yen.

EX-ZR50 allows its LCD monitor and guide buttons to tilt 180 degrees, which allows for good selfie pictures and low-angle shots. In addition to a regular shutter button, it has a front shutter button so that you can press at the best time while checking how you look like with the tilted monitor. There is also a motion shutter function which enables you to release the shutter just by waving your hand towards the LCD monitor.

There are more functions to enhance your beauty such as Make-up Mode that makes your skin look better with your selected skin color and Make-up Bracketing that takes 3 continuos shots while varying your skin color.

EX-ZR50 has EXILIM Engine HS Ver.3 image processor, effective 16.79MP 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor, 3.0-inch TFT color LCD monitor, and Wi-Fi ability. The lens covers a focal distance of 25 to 250mm (35mm equivalent).

Nikon announced that they are going to start selling a new compact digital single reflex camera model with full size sensor - "D610" - on October 19.

Major features such as full size sensor, image processor, AF sensor, etc. are the same as the previous model "D600", however, continuous shooting speed was improved to 6fps and the new "Silent Continuous Shooting Mode", that enables continuous shooting at 3fps in the silent mode, was added.

Good news coming from Olympus.

Olympus released a press release today in which they apologized about a short supply of their new camera's lens kit - "OLYMPUS OM-D E-M1 12-40mmF2.8 Lens Kit" - that is scheduled to be out on October 19.

The reason for the shortage is that they have gotten more orders than expected.

Ricoh Imaging is releasing new interchangeable lens "HD PENTAX-DA 55-300mmF4-5.8ED WR" for their digital single-lens reflex camera "K" series in early November.

It support 5.5X zoom that covers middle telephoto to ultra-telephoto. By using their unique HD coating (that has high transmittance by decreasing light reflex), it can show clear images under stringent light conditions such as backlight. It is also drop-proof so that it can be used for your outdoor activities.

Fujifilm
announced the release of the new FUJIFILM X30 from their digital camera X series. It will be out for sale for about 65,000 yen on September 20.

Olympus is going to release an exclusive limited edition camera kit called OM-D E-M10 Limited Edition Kit on June 27. The estimated price is 110,000 yen.

E-M10 is an entry-level OM-D series mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera and it was released in February 2014.

 

Olympus officially announced that this new flagship model of their compact digital camera "OLYMPUS STYLUS 1" will be released on November 29.
