announced that the number of advanced orders of PENTAX K-3 Prestige Edition has reached the available quantity of 2,000 units, and they stopped taking any more of its orders.

Ricoh Imaging has just unveiled the release of PENTAX K-3 Prestige Edition last week (Click here to read our previous coverage). It's been only 6 days!

PENTAX K-3 Prestige Edition is a special edition model of PENTAX K-3 that is scheduled to be out for sale on August 8. It comes with a K-3 camera in gunmetal coating, a battery grip D-BG5, a special strap O-ST1403, and a dedicated presentation box.

The price is ¥119,000 yen.

Good news coming from Olympus.

Olympus released a press release today in which they apologized about a short supply of their new camera's lens kit - "OLYMPUS OM-D E-M1 12-40mmF2.8 Lens Kit" - that is scheduled to be out on October 19.

The reason for the shortage is that they have gotten more orders than expected.

Price: ¥219,800 (including 3-Year warranty)

Sony announced release of their new A-mount DSLR - α77 II - for about ¥135,000 on June 6.

Canon is going to release the new PowerShot digital camera - PowerShot SX400 IS - on August 7.

PowerShot SX400 IS has an optical 30X zoom lens covering a range of 24-720mm (35mm equivalent). By simultaneously using a digital zoom function "Progressive Fine Zoom", it boosts its zoom up to 60X and keeps its high-resolution. It also has DIGIC 4+ image processor and brings 0.19 seconds ultra-fast auto focus and 0.22 seconds release time lag.

 

I-O Data has just started selling a new action camera called "MotionPix Air" (DVS5G9-SET) only through their online store.

"MotionPix Air" is sold for ¥19,800 yen and it comes with an abundance of accessories such as IPX8 waterproof/dustproof case, mounts and sockets, straps, lens cap and wrist-watch style controller. With the accompanying mounts, you can use "MotionPix Air" attached to a bicycle, motorcycle, snowboard, and helmet without requiring extra accessories.

Nikon announced the fact that Nikon 1 V3 Premium Kit has been receiving so many orders more than they expected that it cannot keep up with production.

Nikon 1 V3 is a mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera from the "Nikon 1 " series and it was released on April 17, 2014.

From Canon's compact digital camera IXY series, the new IXY 130 will be released on August 7.

IXY 130 is only 22.1mm-thick. It features an optical 8X zoom lens covering a range of 28-224mm (35mm equivalent), and the Progressive Fine Zoom function allows you to shoot in 16X zoom.

There is an optical image stabilizer function called Multi Scene IS that detects scenes and offers the image stabilizing effect that is best for the scene.
 

Nikon is going to release the D7100 18-300 VR Super Zoom Kit on April 24 that comes bundled with Nikon's flagship single-lens-reflex camera D7100 and the new high-power zoom lens "AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR".

The price will be about ¥213,300.
