Attack on Titan's Armin Arlert: New Figure at Tokyo Otaku Mode

Attack on Titan's Armin Arlert: New Figure at Tokyo Otaku Mode -

World’s Most Popular Manga/Anime?
While that might be debatable, Hajime Isayama’s 5-year-old serial - his first at that - certainly has been the most visible franchise of the past year (One Piece certainly is a contender here, too).

In our opinion, it’s something of an irony that Attack on Titan has reached the level of notoriety and commercial penetration that it has. The complicated, nuanced, at times disturbing, morally muddled work is not something one would expect to be...widely marketable - you know, what with all that pseudo-cannibalism, dismemberment, slavery issues, the apocalypse, guts and stuff.

Nevertheless, the Titans and their human victims/persecutors are splashed all over marketing campaigns from giant fast food burgers to Chocoballs, and a live-action movie is now in production.

With that kind of popularity, toys, promo campaigns, and collectibles abound. The newest piece, the figurine likeness of Armin Arlert, friend and strategist to the series’ leading protagonists, is now available at Tokyo Otaku Mode:

1/8th Scale Armin Arlert, from Attack on Titan
TOM’s character figure description:

“Armin Arlert, the kind-hearted genius tactician from Attack on Titan is now available in detailed 1/8th scale! Being the third figure from the Brave-Act series, Armin is sculpted by Naoto Morikawa and is armed with extremely detailed 3D Maneuver Gear, a Survey Corps cape, a pair of plug-in blades, and a saluting arm piece. His hair is carved to show his desperate courage, specifically like the scene where he saves Mikasa and Eren from captain Kitts Woerman! His head is articulated for a variety of poses, giving life to this naive but intelligent character!”
