New Thanko Aluminum iPhone Case Waterproof to 100m

Thanko's Waterproof iPhone Case Good to 100m

The Hardest Core (and hardest) Underwater iPhone Case?
There are a number of iPhone cases that'll protect your handheld telecommunicator in the bathtub or a swimming pool, but can any of them survive being dropped onto coral when used for diving up to 100 meters below the surface? This one can!

Compatible with both the iPhone 5 and 5s, Thanko's new waterproof to 100m case is one of the most rugged and comprehensive designs we've seen. The tightly lockable case is constructed of aluminum and finished with gold or silver color. We're pretty sure even the most careful iPhone user would feel comfortable getting this thing wet.

Shooting
As the iPhone is a touchscreen device, engineering the somewhat delicate and rather specific activation scheme was certainly a challenge, but user setup and taking photos is actually quite easy.

First, users need to turn off their phone's autolock feature; there's not a lot of point in using the case if your phone turns itself off after 5 minutes!. Next, while no special or additional apps of any kind are required, you do have to arrange the camera app according to the external button and internal stylus-like arrangement of the case's actuator (see images below). Simply move the camera app to the bottom-center of the homescreen, and you're ready.

In addition to the main shutter button, the extra buttons allow you to add filters, review your library, go back to the homescreen, etc.

With both a standard tripod mount and built-in shoe for a flash add-on, this case might also appeal beyond casual shooters or divers to photographers of the slightly more serious or professional kind.

Specs for the Thanko 100m Waterproof iPhone Case:

  • Weight: 620g

REVIEW: Lightning Rabbit Premium Gadget Cables (GALLERY)

Lightning Rabbits are cables. Some very nice cables. We reviewed them...err, commented on them. A 2000-word TL:DR expose on a gadget cable is a level of geekery to which we cannot rise, so comments suffice.
