Today Elecom released a new animal-themed plug-in smartphone speaker series.

Unlike many external speakers, this new unit has a built-in 3.5mm (1/8 in.) plug that attaches the speaker directly to the phone via the headphone jack. The 3.5mm size is the effectively universal, default jack/plug size for nearly all small electronics.
