APRIL THANKO RODEO PART 1 OF 3: USB Wheel-Powered Gadget Charger for Bikes
Japan’s been using those little mini-dynamo generators to power bike lights for decades, and that doesn’t require a whole lot of power. Charging a smartphone or GPS guide thingy is a different matter, but it seems that Thanko has found the answer.
Surreal Tokyo: "In Motion," by Aaron Grimes (VIDEO)
It's easy to grow accustomed to the bombast of everyday life here in Tokyo, but it's also nice to get an occasional reminder of how beautiful the city can be. Photographer and videographer Aaron Grimes' In Motion elegantly captures what the majority of Tokyo's denizens probably take for granted.

That crazy Video Head Guy, seen in cinemas across Japan, will be sold as a hardcore figure doll!

If you have been to a movie cinema in Japan in the past several years, after the previews, before the movie starts, perhaps you have seen a pantomiming guy with a video camera head - the bad guy who is secretly taking a video of the movie in the movie theater!

I personally feel spooky every time I see his dancing in the theater. Am I the only person who feels that way?

Rainy Day in Tokyo - Let's Have Some Clouds at 2160p (4K VIDEO)
This video is exactly what it sounds like, and in this case it's exactly beautiful. While we love pretty much anything he creates, "Clouds above TOKYO" is one of darwinfish105's best videos - and if your monitor can handle it, crank it all the way up to 4K!

Massive lightning strikes moving train in Tokyo

During the summer in Japan, we can sometimes expect a torrential downpour in late afternoon. It's really scary because all of a sudden the color of the sky turns yellow and deafening rumbles of thunder start.

Today we had a sudden temporary heavy downpour as usual and that reminded us of this currently popular youtube video. Probably many of you have already seen it as it was uploaded about 10 days ago. Massive lightning hit a moving Odakyu train in Tokyo. A part of the train was burnt, but fortunately no one on the train was hurt.

REVIEW: Casio EX-100 High-End Compact Camera [TOP 14 of '14]
On paper, the Casio EX-100 seems the greatest imaging device in the history of our species. It can do things that sound mind blowing for a camera this small and almost too good to be true for a consumer imaging device of any kind. This camera has a list of features so long that, even in the 3 weeks I had to play with it, I couldn’t truly explore every single one of them.
