Nikon - D810 - 36.35MP DSLR without optical low-pass filter

Nikon announced the release of their new digital single lens reflex camera D810. It will be out on sale for 348,300 yen in mid July.

Also, the lens kit (D810 24-85 VR Lens Kit), which comes with the D810 camera and the AF-S NIKKOR 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G ED VR lens, will be available for 405,000 yen on the same day.

D810 features an effective 36.35MP optical low-pass filter-less Nikon FX format CMOS sensor and the EXPEED 4 image processor, which bring wide sensitivity range from ISO 64 to ISO 12800 to the camera. It has a 3.2-inch LCD monitor (12.29MP dots).

Regarding the continuous shooting performance, the maximum fps is up to 5 in FX format and up to 7 in DX format. D810 supports shooting 1920×1080/60p  full HD movie.

Leica Japan is going to release a Japan-only special model "Leica M Monochrome Silver Engrave" on December 20. Only 30 cameras will be available for ¥972,000. The special model is made based on the world's first interchangeable lens digital camera, Leica M Monochrome, that is designed to shoot sharp black and white photos.

Nikon is going to release Wi-Fi compliant slim digital camera COOLPIX S6800 on February 13.

The COOLPIX S6800 features an optical 12X zoom NIKKOR lens (16.02 effective pixels) of 25mm-300mm (in 35mm format), 24X Dynamic Fine Zoom, 3-inch TFT monitor (0.46 million dots), has 12 kinds of make-up effects such as Eye Shadow, Lip Color, and Mascara, and has a Hybrid VR (Vibration Reduction) system.

Panasonic is going to release new digital video camera HC-W850M on February 20.

HC-W850M has a movable sub-camera at the side of the LCD monitor. The sub-camera is capable of rotating 270 degrees so that it allows you to film 2 different images at the same time, for example, "regular distance & close-up image", " front & side", and "subject & cameraman", and display the sub-image in the main image.

Casio is going to release the new flagship model of its EXILIM series - 10.7X optical zoom EX-100 - for about ¥90,000 in late March.

EX-100 features 28-300mm range f/2.8 aperture 10.7x optical zoom lens including 12 elements in 10 group lens contraction. It is compatible with macro photography from the shortest distance of 5cm and with telephotography from the shortest distance of 50cm.
