Onkyo adds new Dolby Atmos audio technology to their latest flagship AV receivers

Onkyo
announced that they would load Dolby's new surround sound technology called "Dolby Atmos" into their latest flagship AV receiver models TX-NR1030 and TX-NR3030. These models are currently under development.

Full details regarding release day, appearance, or specs of new TX-NR1030/3030 will be unveiled at a later date.

Onkyo is also planning to update the entry models TX-NR636 and TX-NR838 in September, which already went on sale.

Dolby Atmos is a new surround sound technology that is used for movie theaters. A home AV receiver with the Dolby Atmos technology will be capable of giving people powerful, clear sounds and enjoy the feeling of watching a movie at an actual movie theater.

Earphones that comes with Game Boy-like remote-control microphone will be released for ¥2,138 on December 19 by Datel Japan.
Yamaha is going to release a Bluetooth speaker set that comes with 2 satellite speakers and a woofer. They all are designed in the motif of a spotlight.
NX-PB30 is compatible with CD, FM/AM radio, and MP3/WMA music files in USB memory. It also supports Bluetooth 2.1+ EDR (Profile A2DP/AVRCP, Codec SBC) so that you can play music in Bluetooth compliant devices wirelessly.It will be released in early December.

Sony revealed that they are going to release an Evangelion model of their portable audio player WALKMAN F series.

There are no specifics out yet except that it will be a high-resolution audio player from the WALKMAN F series, and that it will possibly be based on the WALKMAN F880.

Sony will start accepting advance orders in late April. To those who want to purchase it, Sony will provide updates and a release schedule by email and people can register for the service on a special website for the Evangelion model.

Sony is releasing the new flagship model of its Hi-Res Walkman ZX series (NW-ZX2) on February 14. It has great capability but the price is high - ¥120,000 (about US$1,000)!

 

From audio-technica's headphone "S" series, 5 new models will be out on October 18.
