Logitec - CD drive to copy songs from CDs to smartphone directly

Logitec announced the release of CD drive LDV-PMH8U2R Series that allows you to rip songs from your CDs to Android smartphones or tablets directly.

It will be released for 6,980 yen in mid-July.

When copying music to your smartphone, usually you transfer music data from a PC. But, with LDV-PMH8U2R Series, you don't have to go to the trouble of copying the music data from original CDs to your computer in advance.

It can read a CD with 60 minutes worth of music in 5 minutes. It offers 3 different installing options: "High Quality" to save the same audio quality as CDs, "Regular Audio Quality" to save music with both good quality and not much data capacity use, and "Capacity" to save music with minimum capacity use.

Additionally, if you prepare a USB cable for a PC separately, LDV-LDV-PMH8U2R Series is able to be used as a read-only DVD drive.
