Takara Tomy - My Touch Smart "Line Friends" - Toy smartphone for kids to enjoy LINE communication safe‏ly

Takara Tomy announced the release of a toy smartphone for kids - My Touch Smart "Line Friends".  With it, kids can pretend like sending and receiving messages and stamps on the popular communication application LINE.  It will be out for sale on August 7.

As if it is a real smartphone, it has a LED display, camera function, music reply ability, and more than 30 kinds of playable applications.

According to Takara Tomy, so many mothers who have an elementary school girl are concerned about internet troubles, and they don't want to give a smartphone to their girl even though she wants to have her own smartphone so bad. But, at the same time, these mothers also want to have some tools that they can have a cozy and simple talk with their kids.

To respond to their expectations, Takara Tomy upgraded new My Touch Smart "Line Friends" to be able to connect to an actual smartphone via Bluetooth network while the previous model "LINE Town – My Touch", released in August 2013, could pair up only between the toy smartphones.

My Touch Smart "Line Friends" is still a very safe toy because My Touch Smart "Line Friends" doesn't have a functionality to have an internet connection so that it doesn't use the actual LINE service. A parent needs to install the dedicated application when they pair his/her smartphone up with their kid's My Touch Smart "Line Friends" and then they can talk each other using the application.

Communication distance is up to 10 meters range.
