Huawei sells SIM-free smartphone "Ascend G6" for ¥29,800 in Japan

Huawei Japan, Chinese telecommunications equipment and services company, announced they will start selling their SIM-free devices after late June in Japan.

The first product will be the Android 4.3 smartphone "Ascend G6" and will be sold through multiple electronics retail stores such as Bic Camera, Edion, and Nojima. Ascend G6 was unveiled in the Mobile World Congress 2014 that took place last February.

Ascend G6 has 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8926 Quad Core CPU, 8GB storage, 1GB memory, 4.5-inch (960x540 dots) display, 8MP main-camera and 5MP in-camera which is good for taking selfies.

For a communication system, it's compatible with LTE (1950MHz/2140MHz, 1747.5MHz/1842.5MHz), W-CDMA (1950MHz/2140MHz, 837.5MHz/882.5MHz), and GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz). Domestically, it can use NTT docomo's network. It supports Wi-Fi (IEEE802.11b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC.

Fujifilm is going to release portable printer instax SHARE SP-1 on February 15. The portable printer allows you to wirelessly send a photo taken by a smartphone and instantly print it out on film for the instant camera Cheki series.

To use the portable printer, install the dedicated free application, compatible with both Android smartphone and iPhone, to your smartphone. The application provides a lot of templates and editing options to decorate your photos.
