Olympus - STYLUS compact digital camera specialized for construction sites

Olympus just announced that they are going to release a compact digital camera specialized for taking photos at construction sites - OLYMPUS STYLUS TG-3 工一郎 (pronounced as Koichiro in Japanese) - sometime in July.

The OLYMPUS STYLUS TG-3 Koichiro is built based on Olympus's latest flagship rugged camera "OLYMPUS STYLUS TG-3 Tough", which is scheduled to be out on June 12.  On top of the flagship camera, OLYMPUS STYLUS TG-3 Koichiro has other helpful functions for construction site photography.

Some of its functions include: "One-touch White Balance" to reproduce the correct color in challenging conditions for taking photos, a function to allow you to take one look at a shot and know the horizontal and vertical lines, and an "Original Image Judgment" function to add information to tell if the image is edited or not.

It also includes software that automatically sets the image size recommended by the "Standard of Digital Photography Management Information" by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism could help to make your work proceed smoothly. You can turn off the software setting, too.

OLYMPUS STYLUS TG-3 Koichiro is compatible with an indelible SDWORM card.

A silicon cover for protecting it from shock and also free 2-year camera accidental insurance will also come with the camera.

Canon's digital single-lens reflex camera entry model "EOS Kiss X7" has been popular since it was released in November 2013 especially among younger generations.

Fujifilm is going to release a new Cheki camera called instax WIDE 300 on November 21 from their instant camera "instax" series.

The Cheki instax WIDE 300 prints photos that are twice the size of normal Cheki photos.

It has a grip to help hold the camera easily with your right hand and also a hole to attach a tripod at the bottom.

 

Panasonic has announced the Lumix GM, an ultra compact 16MP Micro Four Thirds camera, which will be released in Japan in late November.

"This camera uses the same sensor and engine as the GX7 which was released last month. The GX' features extremely high image quality and has received various awards around the world. We have packed the high image quality of the GX7 into this camera."

"The compact body is made of magnesium alloy, giving it a very robust feeling."

Canon has revealed their new entry-level digital single lens reflex camera model - EOS Kiss X70 - will be available for a reasonable price of about ¥50,840 in late March. Its lens kit with "EF-S18-55mm F3.5-5.6 IS II" will be released for about ¥60,800 at the same timing as well.

The Kumamon-special Leica C camera is now on sale for ¥99,360 (~$818.00). Only 50 units are available for sale. Kumamon's photo and signature comes with the camera.
SJCAM's Action Cam SJCAM SJ5000+ is now available at Ikeshop in Japan. It shoots a 1080p/60FPS footage at 30 meters below the surface of the sea and supports Wi-Fi. The SJ5000+ is a successor model to the previous SJ4000 Action CAM, which we reviewed last year.

Nikon has just revealed that their new flagship Nikon FX format digital single-lens reflex camera Nikon D4S will be out on March 6.

Based on the previous model D4, the new flagship D4S has improved auto focus performance, image quality, operability, etc.

D4S features the image processor EXPEED 4, effective 16.23MP Nikon FX format CMOS sensor, ISO 100-25600, improved auto white balance performance, and 3.2-inch LCD monitor (0.92M dots).
