Attack Sword Master: No Defensive Moves - Because Attack!! (VIDEO)

Japanese Sword Master - AkihabaraNews.com

If You’re Too Busy Destroying Everything, You Don’t Need Defense

...Is the rather surprising sentiment conveyed by Japanese sword master Hiroharu Wada, profiled in this video from Vice Japan.

The declaration that he's too hardcore with the offense to bother with protecting himself, a fascinatingly brazen bit of humblebraggery from an otherwise reserved practitioner of Jigen-Ryu Japanese sword fighting, is a damn intimidating thing to hear from an elderly man with a 450-year-old sword - in this case, precisely because he’s elderly and has a 450-year-old sword.

That’s before you even get into the whole:

“Draw and behead; One Shot, One Kill”

...which is their mantra, along with casual discussion of quick and efficient disembowelment.

All snark aside, some pretty fascinating viewing, this.

Sanwa Supply started selling a mobile digital microscope and camera (400-CAM010N), which is able to focus on an object with a maximum 500X zoom, for ¥11,800.

400-CAM010N looks like a normal compact digital camera at first sight, but it can take super detailed photos of fine details, such as that of material fibers, that a regular digital camera cannot do. Not just a tool for micro observation, for those who have poor eyesight, it can be used as a magnifier while they read small characters.

We’ve been in love with Team Skeletonics’ human-powered exoskeleton for years, and all throughout, it's pretty much been the same mechanical and aesthetic configuration. But it now looks like they’ve been refining in the background, and might be bringing something new out to play.
