The declaration that he's too hardcore with the offense to bother with protecting himself, a fascinatingly brazen bit of humblebraggery from an otherwise reserved practitioner of Jigen-Ryu Japanese sword fighting, is a damn intimidating thing to hear from an elderly man with a 450-year-old sword - in this case, precisely because he’s elderly and has a 450-year-old sword.

That’s before you even get into the whole: 

“Draw and behead; One Shot, One Kill”

...which is their mantra, along with casual discussion of quick and efficient disembowelment.

It's getting steadily hotter in Japan. I will need to start using the air conditioner throughout the nights soon, but because the air comes from the air conditioner is too strong, I know that constantly leaving it on makes my body feel sluggish
