Casio - latest EXILIM series digital camera, EX-ZR850, with 20 day continuous shooting

The new Casio EXILIM series EX-ZR850 will be available on May 23 for about ¥32,000.

The new EX-ZR850 has an interval photography function that continues taking photos at regular intervals and can do this continuously for a maximum of 20 days, equaling about 500 hours of shooting. For example, you can very effectively track the movement of a flower blooming or scenery changing. There is also functionality to convert the interval photos into a movie.

With Wi-Fi ability, you can remotely conduct shooting using your smartphone.

EX-ZR850 features 1/2.3 inch CMOS sensor (total 16.79MP), image processor "EXLIM Engine HS Ver. 3" that consists of a Dual CPU and 2 image processing circuits, and 3-inch TFT monitor (0.92M dots). It covers a focal distance 25-450mm (35mm equivalent).

It supports the powerful 5-Axial Image stabilization system, 1.3 seconds quick start, 0.015 release time lag, 0.17 seconds auto focus, and 0.25 seconds shooting interval.

Canon has announced the release of the EOS Kiss X7i Triple Zoom Kit. The price will be ¥143,800.

It comes with the DSLR EOS Kiss X7i camera, released in April 2013, and 3 different lenses (EF-S 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 IS STM, EF-S 55-250mm F4-5.6 IS STM, and EF-S 10-18mm F4.5-5.6 IS STM). With these 3 lenses, you are able to cover a 35mm equivalent focal range of 16-400mm.

KenkoTokina, Japanese manufacturer and distributor of optical products and photographic accessories, is going to release a compact digital camera DSC1655Z on October 20.

DSC1655Z will be sold for only 9,400 yen, however it features a Time-Lapse function that takes still images at regular time intervals and automatically makes a movie by putting them together. You can set the interval for 30 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, or 60 minutes.

Canon's digital single-lens reflex camera entry model "EOS Kiss X7" has been popular since it was released in November 2013 especially among younger generations.

Canon has revealed their new entry-level digital single lens reflex camera model - EOS Kiss X70 - will be available for a reasonable price of about ¥50,840 in late March. Its lens kit with "EF-S18-55mm F3.5-5.6 IS II" will be released for about ¥60,800 at the same timing as well.

Canon has just proudly announced that the total production volume of Canon's EOS series - cameras with interchangeable lenses - has exceeded 70 million units.

The EOS series started with the single-lens reflex camera "EOS 650", which was released on March 2, 1987. As digital single-lens reflex cameras began to be widely popular in the early 2000s, an increase in EOS production volume accelerated as well.
