Sony offers free repairs for VAIO Fit 11A

Sony is now providing free repairs for their 11.6-inch full HD transformable tablet PC VAIO Fit 11A, released in February.

It was found that a defect occurs in its battery pack: there is a chance to burn the PC when the battery pack is overheated. As of April 23, Sony received 4 burnout reports so far both domestically and abroad.

The free repairs apply to the following 3 models:

  • SVF11N19EJS
  • SVF11N1A1J
  • SVF11N1BAJ

VAIO's customer support can arrange replacement. The delivery company will pick it up and deliver it back to owners after the battery is replaced.

For those not interested in having their VAIO Fit 11A fixed, Sony is also able to offer consulting about refunding.
