Ricoh Imaging - PENTAX 645Z - 51.4MP CMOS medium format DSLR camera
Ricoh Imaging announced that they will bring their new medium format DSLR camera PENTAX 645Z to the market for ¥860,000 in late June. It was displayed as "PENTAX 645D 2014" at CP+2014 that was held in Yokohama in February.
The new PENTAX 645Z is a successor model to the PENTAX 645D which was released in March, 2010, and it is also suited for professional use. It has an effective 51.4 MP low-pass filterless CMOS sensor, which is 1.7 times bigger than the 35mm full-frame in terms of dimensions, and the latest image processor PRIME III, which increases ISO sensitivity up to ISO204800. The tiltable 3.2-inch LCD monitor (10.37MP) on the back side can display a live view. It also can perform a maximum of 3fps continuous shooting up to 10 frames.
There is SAFOX 11 autofocus system (27-point, 25 of which are cross-type) built-in. The center sensor and two sensors just above and below it are designed to detect the luminance flux of an F2.8 lens for high-precision autofocusing.
Magnesium alloy is used for the body's exterior and the frame of the monitor. Die-cast aluminum is used for the chassis. PENTAX 645Z is dustproof, dropproof and low‐temperature resistant up to -10 degrees C.
