Panasonic - 4K VIERA AX800 series is out in May

Panasonic announced that their new 4K Ultra-HD VIERA TV - AX800 series - will be released in mid-May. 5 models will be available:

Standard Design Model:
- TH-58AX800F (58 inch)
- TH-50AX800F (50 inch)

Slant Design Model:
- TH-65AX800 (65 inch)
- TH-58AX800 (58 inch)
- TH-50AX800 (50 inch)

AX800 series has a wide color gamut 4K panel with Hexachroma Drive technology to maximize the 4K panel's performance and to faithfully reproduce detailed colors. To give users a comfortable viewing experience, a voice-activated navigation system or My Channel function allows you to customize contents depending on different audiences.

With a smartphone that has the Panasonic TV Remote 2 application installed, you can share contents between a smartphone and the VIERA TV or you can use the smartphone as a remote control for the TV.

Panasonic's Lumix GH4 has Variable Frame Rate!
As any photographer knows, high-end cameras with VFR built-in allow for the rate of frames... to be like, you know, varied. And thats a good thing because non-variable frame rates aren't as cool. Good enough, yeah?

Panasonic is currently displaying the new LUMIX CM1, a digital camera with 1-inch sensor and Android 4.4, at Photokina 2014 in Cologne, Germany.

LUMIX CM1 is scheduled to be released for about EUR 899 at the end of this year in Germany first, and then it will be released worldwide at the beginning of 2015.

Panasonic is going to release the LUMIX DMC-LX100, the world's first compact digital point-and-shoot camera with a 4/3-inch sensor built-in, for about 103,000 yen on November 13.

LUMIX GM5, the world's smallest mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera with an electronic viewfinder (EVF), is going to be released by Panasonic on November 13.

LUMIX GM5 is only 98.5mm wide and weighs 180g. The magnesium alloy body and aluminum dial give the camera a very high-quality look and feel.

Panasonic is going to release new digital video camera HC-W850M on February 20.

HC-W850M has a movable sub-camera at the side of the LCD monitor. The sub-camera is capable of rotating 270 degrees so that it allows you to film 2 different images at the same time, for example, "regular distance & close-up image", " front & side", and "subject & cameraman", and display the sub-image in the main image.

From Panasonic's "Let's note" series, 5 new models of the RZ4 series 10.1-inch notebook PC will be released on October 17. Pricing starts at 160,000 yen.

It's a clamshell note PC. By rotating the screen and folding it, it can be used as a tablet. One of the Main features of the RZ4 series is that it weighs only 745g. It is currently the lightest among all notebooks with a rotatable screen.

Panasonic is going to start selling new interchangeable lens LEICA DG NOCTICRON 42.5mm/F1.2 ASPH./POWER O.I.S. H-NS043 (model: H-NS043) for LUMIX G digital single lens mirrorless cameras using Micro Four Thirds-size image sensor on February 13.

It's certified by Leica for its high quality optics and has achieved fast F1.2 aperture called NOCTICRON. It also has optical image stabilization system POWER O.I.S. to prevent both fast and slow camera shakes.

Panasonic announced that they are going to release the world's first compact digital camera with 4K video recording capability - LUMIX DMC-FZ1000 - on July 17.

It will be sold for around 100,000 yen.

LUMIX DMC-FZ1000 is able to record 4K video (3,840×2,160) at up to 30 fps in the MP4 format. There is also a built-in functionality called "4K PHOTO" to capture 8MP images in the 4K video footage. It can also output 1920×1080 60fps full HD resolution video.
