Roland - Portable Amp for street musicians "CUBE Street EX"

Roland is going to release a high-powered portable amp for street musicians - CUBE Street EX - on April 25.

CUBE Street EX can play powerful 50W (25W+25W) sound with 8 size AA batteries. It provides 3 levels of Power Mode so that you can adjust the number of hours of use and the maximum volume of sound:


1) MAX - 5 hours of continuous use / 50W
2) NORMAL - 10 hours of continuous use / 25W
3) ECO - 20 hours of continuous use / 10W

There are many input/output terminals that work with multiple instruments like guitar, keyboard and microphone: maximum 5 types input including XLR type, AUX IN, LINE IN, and AUDIO IN.

Sony revealed that they are going to release an Evangelion model of their portable audio player WALKMAN F series.

There are no specifics out yet except that it will be a high-resolution audio player from the WALKMAN F series, and that it will possibly be based on the WALKMAN F880.

Sony will start accepting advance orders in late April. To those who want to purchase it, Sony will provide updates and a release schedule by email and people can register for the service on a special website for the Evangelion model.

New Product for a Crowded Market
Today Sony outed their attractive new line of palm-sized, waterproof, high-output portable wireless speakers. As with most Sony products, the speakers are simply named: SRS-X1.

Sony is going to release a compact, slick all-in-one audio system on April 19. There will be 2 models available: "CMT-X7CD" with Wi-Fi for about ¥33,000 and "CMT-X5CD" without Wi-Fi for about ¥23,000.

You can listen to music with the audio system by connecting with multiple devices such as WALKMAN, iPhone/iPad/iPod, smartphone, PC, USB memory, etc. directly or via Bluetooth network. It supports NFC, apt-X/AAC codec, and FM/AM tuner. Although it has a slim body, it also has a CD player built-in!


Yamaha is going to release new entry model AV amplifier "RX-V377" for ¥44,000 in mid-March.

Although it's an entry model, RX-V377 has an HDMI input that allows the transmission of 4K Ultra HD images. It's also compatible with 3D image transmission, ARC (Audio Return Channel) and linkage with major companies' TV and recorders.

 

From JVC Kenwood's JVC brand, new Bluetooth audio component system "NX-W5" will be out for about ¥35,000 in early November.

"NX-W5" consist of a unit and the unit includes a CD player (you insert a CD from top to bottom), AM/FM tuner, USB terminal, amplifier, and speaker. The control buttons are located at the bottom and a soft lighting illuminates the buttons. It has a sleep timer function and daily timer function (that increases the sound volume gradually up to the level you set).

COWON Japan is going to release new portable audio player iAUDIO E3 on April 18. It's only 3.9mm-thick (at its slimmest part) and weighs 20g.

An 8GB model will be sold for ¥8,900, and a 16GB model for ¥10,900.

Playable files are MP3, WMA, FLAC, OGG and WAV. iAUDIO E3 has a recording function too. It has JetEffect BBE+ which produces powerful sound.

JVC Kenwood is going to release a portable Hi-Res headphone amplifier "SU-AX7" in late May. The price will be around ¥55,000.

SU-AX7 is compliant with Hi-Res audio (192kHz/24bit Linear PCM) playback. It also applies new K2 Technology that makes the sound quality higher than Hi-Res audio to bring it closer to the quality of the master audio source.

In terms of input terminals, there is a USB A and USB micro B in the front, and there is an optical digital input and stereo mini analog input.
