When Cute Can't Save You (VIDEO)

When Cute Doesn't Count - AkihabaraNews.com

AUTOWAY Tires has another…message.
Ahh yes, AUTOWAY. Some might remember their last uhhh, intriguing marketing campaign that we covered last December. Jump through and have a look. Interesting way to sell - of all things - car tires.

We really do wonder if it works.
Notoriety? Yep. Moving car tires? Hmm.

いきなりバン!
IKINARI-BAN!
“Suddenly Explode/Pop!”

You can probably see where this video’s going. It begins with what appears to be a teenage girl, the star of AUTOWAY’s new marketing campaign (see the image below, too), droning on about teenage girl stuff.

In webcam conversation with whomever, she’s talking about her new bloomers and teasing a show. She's in love with her silly hairstyle and just can't possibly imagine getting it cut… you know, the things that matter before the prefrontal cortex is fully formed.

So, how does the (in)famous AUTOWAY bring this one back to reminding us about the importance of tires?
You’ll see.

TokyoStreetView: Yurikamome Hyperlapse (4K VIDEO) - AkihabaraNews.com
What I personally like about the Yurikamome is that, because you are gliding above the ground and between buildings on a winding track, it feels as though you’re traveling through the city aboard some kind of hover car.
Introduced way back in 2008, seven years after the Segway, Toyota's Winglet finally got to come out and play last week; practical trials are underway. Like the Segway (pretty much exactly), it’s a single rider, self-balancing mobility device. Toyota calls it a robot. Yeah... No.
Tokyo Tilt-Shift Timelapse Pastel Diorama Part 3: Night & Day (VIDEO)
Those who’ve browsed around our video collection know that we’ve long been enamored with the work of mysterious Tokyo photographer darwinfish105. This latest effort, one we’re putting in the Tokyo Pastel Diorama Series, once again makes the world’s largest city look quaint and cute in one composition, vast and ominous in another.

Sanwa Supply started selling a mobile digital microscope and camera (400-CAM010N), which is able to focus on an object with a maximum 500X zoom, for ¥11,800.

400-CAM010N looks like a normal compact digital camera at first sight, but it can take super detailed photos of fine details, such as that of material fibers, that a regular digital camera cannot do. Not just a tool for micro observation, for those who have poor eyesight, it can be used as a magnifier while they read small characters.
