Panasonic announces 4K wearable video camera in Europe

Panasonic just announced their new 4K wearable video camera HX-A500 in Europe and they are going to release there sometime in May.

HX-A500 is able to shoot 4K videos (3820x2160, 25fps). It features a new lens, the image processor Crystal Engine Pro+, and backlight CMOS sensor.

It is able to record clear video even in a dark area. It has NFC and Wi-Fi functions so that you can even do live broadcasting using Ustream in the Wi-Fi environment. It can also shoot in 1080p/50fps, 720p/100fps, or 480p/200fps.

The exterior design is similar to the HX-A100 released in May last year, and the design enables you to shoot hands-free. A 1.5 inch LCD monitor is built-in to make it possible to shoot while monitoring.

In addition, HX-A500 is IP58 standard waterproof/dustproof and it can shoot video continuously for about 30 minutes under up to 3 meters of water without housing.
