Panasonic announces 4K wearable video camera in Europe


Panasonic just announced their new 4K wearable video camera HX-A500 in Europe and they are going to release there sometime in May.

HX-A500 is able to shoot 4K videos (3820x2160, 25fps). It features a new lens, the image processor Crystal Engine Pro+, and backlight CMOS sensor.

It is able to record clear video even in a dark area. It has NFC and Wi-Fi functions so that you can even do live broadcasting using Ustream in the Wi-Fi environment. It can also shoot in 1080p/50fps, 720p/100fps, or 480p/200fps.

The exterior design is similar to the HX-A100 released in May last year, and the design enables you to shoot hands-free. A 1.5 inch LCD monitor is built-in to make it possible to shoot while monitoring.

In addition, HX-A500 is IP58 standard waterproof/dustproof and it can shoot video continuously for about 30 minutes under up to 3 meters of water without housing.

Panasonic Gorilla Eye Car Navigation

The days of taking a drive and relying on fond memories to remember the scenery along the way are over.

Panasonic has announced the "Gorilla Eye" portable car navigation system (CN-GP737VD).  5 new models of the "Gorilla" system will be released sequentially beginning on September 20th of this year, with the "Gorilla Eye" model due out in the beginning of December.

Panasonic made the special Hello Kitty model of the portable Bluetooth speaker "SC-NJ40". They made it to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Hello Kitty, and it will be released for ¥12,000 on May 23.

Panasonic is going to release 2 models of their new soundbars that come with a wireless sub-woofer on May 16:

A custom-design model of Panasonic's 4K 30p movie-shootable wearable camera HX-A500, in collaboration with the Japanese bag brand "master-piece", was unveiled.

The collaboration model has the "master-piece" original camouflage design print. An original cord cover comes with it, too.

Panasonic is going to release 2,500mAh mobile battery "QE-AL101" on May 30. It can fully charge up a smartphone.

The company says that this is the first mobile battery that can charge something as many as 2000 times.

There are 2 USB ports built-in. White and black models will be available.

Panasonic is releasing 20-inch 4K IPSa display tablet - TOUGHPAD 4K UT-MA6  - aimed at corporates in late June.

TOUGHPAD 4K UT-MA6 has the high-performance graphics processor NVIDIA QUADRO K1000M built-in so that you can use it for using CAD/CAM or creating 3D graphics.
