Sony - Evangelion high-Res WALKMAN

Sony revealed that they are going to release an Evangelion model of their portable audio player WALKMAN F series.

There are no specifics out yet except that it will be a high-resolution audio player from the WALKMAN F series, and that it will possibly be based on the WALKMAN F880.

Sony will start accepting advance orders in late April. To those who want to purchase it, Sony will provide updates and a release schedule by email and people can register for the service on a special website for the Evangelion model.

Sony is going to release the headphone-style Walkman WS610 series (model: NW-WS615) on November 8.

NW-WS615 is suitable for use in sports activities. It is IPX5 waterproof so that you are even able to wear it when you swim in a pool.

In addition to listening to music saved on the Walkman, it enables you to listen wirelessly to music saved in different devices via a Bluetooth connection.

A new titanium color model will be added to Yamaha's 5.1ch 11cm thin, inexpensive RX-S600 AV receiver for ¥68,250 in late January - ONLY 500 units will be available.

Yamaha released the black color model RX-S600 last September. The titanium color's specs are the same as the black model.

COWON Japan is releasing a small portable audio player (74.3×53.1×13.8mm, 75g) on December 12. It has a slick minimal design and powerful battery which enable it to play music continuously for up to 90 hours.
Cowon Japan is going to release premium gold and silver colored Hi-Res portable audio player models for ¥128,000 on December 19.
Thanko has released a portable device that combines a 5,000mAh mobile battery and 680mw+680mw high-power headphone amplifier. While charging your smart phone, you can use the headphone amplifier with the smartphone as well.

Sony is going to release high-resolution audio stereo system MAP-S1 for about ¥65,000 on April 19. New speaker SS-HW1 which is designed to be used with MAP-S1 will be released for about ¥56,000 on the same day.

The audio stereo system MAP-S1 is able to play high-resolution audio including DSD audio (2.8MHz). It is compatible with DLNA and AirPlay, and it has Wi-Fi built-in.

Thanko started selling new simple earphones with tiny earbuds that don't give you pesky earaches.

Last month, Sony gave notice that they will release the Evangelion model of the portable audio player WALKMAN, and finally they just unveiled the details of the model.

The special collaboration model is made based on Android WALKMAN F series "NW-F887 (64GB)" which supports high-resolution audio. It is scheduled to be out on April 24.

audio-technica is going to release new headphones with fluffy earmuffs - ATH-FW55 - on October 17.

ATH-FW55 is designed for girls. Since the earmuffs are big, they make the user's face smaller, which Japanese girls consider attractive and care a lot about.

The item will be produced in limited quantity. 

Pioneer announced the release of "U-05", their first USB DAC with a headphone amplifier built-in. It is scheduled to be out for 105,000 yen in late July.

USB DAC is a device to enhance sound quality of audio files on a computer.

U-05 features ESS's 8ch DAC "ES9016" installed on both the right and left sides. The circuit used is a discrete circuit. By driving them in parallel, it reduces noise considerably.
