Japanese Robots: Humble Thumbwar gets Robotic Japanification from Takara Tomy

SAMURAIBORG is a toy robot that you play with using a sword-shaped controller. Your movement of the controller is detected and told to the SAMURAIBORG by an infrared sensor. Through an up and down motion, the robot will attack the other robot by lifting the sword up and down. And the robot will rotate into attack position through a shake motion of the controller. When you want it to rotate right, you shake the controller while keeping the controller up. When you want it to rotate left, you can shake the controller while keeping the controller down.

Also, the sword's clang sound is played at the same time as its motion.

Without competitors, you can still play (practice) by using the accompanying bamboo target just like real Samurai used to practice to improve their sword skill.

  • Price: ¥3,800
  • Color: Red or Blue sold individually (Yellow and Black robots are available in a pair set for ¥7,600)
