Ketchup spaghetti popsicle for adventurous eaters

We have written some articles about both the Japanese favorite ketchupy spaghetti Napolitan and the old-school Japanese popsicle series GariGari-kun in the past. Who would have imagined that these 2 very different items would come together?

So, today we found out that the GariGari-kun series made ketchup spaghetti into a popsicle and it will be released on March 25. It's a Napolitan flavored popsicle with Napolitan flavored shaved ice inside and some tomato jelly added as an accent...

We were giggling about the GariGari-kun vegetable chowder flavor popsicle released last year, however, we are very suspicious about the taste and cannot really laugh about the new ketchup spaghetti popsicle!

Someone please try it and give us a review!

Tokyo Banana is a sweet treat that wraps banana custard cream with a soft sponge cake. It's the most recognizable souvenir from Tokyo for people traveling to other parts of Japan.

Currently, a special spring version is on sale for a limited time only. It's a floral printed Tokyo Banana called Tokyo Banana no Hana, and instead of banana custard cream, it has banana shake flavored cream inside.

A bit confusing.

China's past expiration date chicken issue has been making a lot of noise around the world, and it's well-known that McDonald's in Japan was getting chicken from the problematic Chinese company.

Because of that, recently, McDonald's in Japan has begun selling Tofu Nuggets. It uses a mix of minced Alaska pollack, tofu, carrot, and edamame. Teriyaki-style ginger sauce comes with it.

The Days of Cold Bento Food are Over!
"Bento" is now a common word around the world, so many of you might know that bento box means a Japanese-style lunch box.  Wouldn't it make you happy if you can eat a warm homemade lunch anytime you want without using a microwave oven?

Kikkoman announced that they will start selling 3 new types of flavored soy milk: grape, ginger and Amazake (sweet alcoholic drink made from fermented rice) on August 18.

Honestly, when another AkihabaraNews editor told me there are new icky flavored soy milk products that will go on sale, I immediately thought what's so wrong about these flavors. They sound good!

Are these weird for you?
