Chinon - Bellami HD-1 - Video camera with interchangeable lenses

Chinon's first camera release in 20 years!

Retro-looking but high-tech video camera - Bellami HD-1 - will be released on March 22 by Chinon. The price is ¥89,250. It is able to shoot movies in full HD quality. Shooting is started by pulling the trigger.

Bellami HD-1 has a vertical body, which is reminiscent of old 8mm movie cameras like Chinon's own "Chinon Direct Sound " model and includes the newly developed standard "CHINON Lens" (4mm F1.2, 6 group 7 elements) as standard. The lens can be interchanged to a D-mount lens that used to be largely used around the 1950s-1970s.  Adapters compatible with C, CS, M42 mounts are planned to be released separately, too.

Bellami HD-1 has 1/3 inch 2.1MP MOS sensor, 0.47 inch 1.44MP view finder, 187MB memory, electric image stabilization mechanism, 12X digital zoom, standard/black&white/sepia color settings, hot shoe, HDMI output, USB, etc. It supports SD/SDHC/SDXC card (Max. 128GB).

It is also able to take still images, there is a continuous shooting function and 6 kinds of shooting modes.
