Untitled Two-Man Tokyo Tech Show
Our cliché cop-out of a name is still holding strong... it might stick. If anyone's got something better, leave a comment and if we use your suggestion we'll send you a sweet iPhone 5 case from SEIDIO.

Episode 1: Geektastic in Akihabara

Episode 2: Shiny in Shibuya

Episode 3: Shinjuku
This week, AkihabaraNews contributor Nayalan Moodley and editor Reno J. Tibke stood around in beautiful, eclectic Shinjuku waxing geeky on the latest tech news.

Shinjuku, another of Tokyo's cultural and economic hearts, is home to government, world-class shopping, throngs of intriguing weirdos, the world's busiest train station, the headquarters of gigantic Japanese companies, a variety of street performers, scandalous Kabuki-cho, and, what is arguably the best standing-only noodle shop in Japan (top secret). And there's so much more - we'll definitely be going back.

Breakdown:
While visiting the Tokyo Metropolitan Government building's 45th-floor observation deck, our hosts met a lovely young American couple on the last night of a 5-month honeymoon. They consented to an interview, during which it was discovered that they had the exact same Sony RX100 camera as our editor. This of course led to much bonding.

Covered Stories Include:

Do give us your suggestions for future locations, your feedback, your criticism, let us know if Reno should grow back his awful beard, any corrections, call-outs, tips. If you just wanna make fun of us, we can take it. Trolls with flair and originality will receive extra points and a cookie.

Have a watch. Share. Let us know. Maybe win an iPhone case.

The Hikaru Skirt, a Fashion Statement that Demands Yet Defies Explanation.
One of the great things about living in Japan is knowing that there are a neverending string of things that you’ll never fully understand. The Hikaru Skirt (“hikaru” just means “shining”) is a pretty good example thereof. But as goofy as these might be, they do catch (and keep) the eye!
Holding Up the Tokyo Monorail (4K VIDEO)
If it weren't for the wear and obvious age of the cars and elevated tracks, you'd be forgiven for judging the Tokyo Monorail as futuristic and technologically marvelous. And even if the big, big city is old hat, it's hard not to be moved by that ride - but what's holding up the 51-year-old inverted anachronism?
