TAS Girls and Cars: Lost Gallery Volume 2 (We found another $50 bucks in the sofa!)

Girls, Custom Cars, and 100 Awesome Photos that We Totally Forgot to Publish!
As we said earlier in the week (see volume 1), there's that entirely unanticipated satisfaction that comes with knowing you’d already eaten all the cookies, yet you find one more… or, realizing that the article for which you’ve been ferociously pounding days of keyboard, is actually due a day later... or, sticking your hand down between the cushions and finding yet another $50 bucks in your sofa: that’s exactly how we felt last Monday when we came across this big-ass file of really awesome photos.

Of the 100 unexpected sofa cookies, we published 50 on Tuesday, and the second 50 are now up. To enjoy some super sexy custom cars, and some finely tuned ladies, jump through below.

2014 Tokyo Auto Salon (was the venue)
For those who’d prefer a little context with their cars and ladies, the T.A.S. took place just over a month ago, and we had dispatched AkihabaraNews contributor Nayalan Moodley, AKA DarcNoodles, to cover the event, shoot photos, and put together a jamming video (see below). From his January 17 piece, to quote:

“Held January 10-12 at Chiba City’s Makuhari Messe convention center, this year’s event drew a staggering 296,714 visitors! The first event, held back in 1983 by Option Tuning Magazine, was an effort to promote car customisation and tuning culture. The event has steadily grown over the years, and 2014 was billed as the largest custom car show in the world.”

So enjoy, and it should be noted that reporter and all-around multimedia guy and contributor Nayalan was not the one who overlooked his own photos - editors take full-force facepalm on this one.

Some Beautiful Japanese Cosplay Because it's Been a Long Week (PROBABLY NSFW GALLERY)
Once Again, it's J-Cosplay Day! Cosplay doesn't have a really specific place of origin, but most would say it began sort of concurrently as an American/Japanese phenomenon, then went global. Basically, it's anytime-doable Halloween. And often produces...beautiful people.

Tokyo Game Show 2014: Prelim Observations (GALLERY) - AkihabaraNews.com

Very Big Game Show
If you haven't been to Makuhari Messe before, know that 'convention center' doesn't quite do it justice. No, 'stadium' is a closer approximation of the venue's size and footprint on the northeastern edge of Tokyo Bay [MAP], part of the Tokyo Metro Area, but actually in Chiba Prefecture (not far from from Tokyo Disney Land).

Tokyo Food Review: Ikinari Steak - Standing-Only Japanese Steakhouse
On the menu are three cuts of steak: ribeye is the cheapest at 5 yen/gram (excl. tax), followed by sirloin (7 yen/gram), tenderloin (8 yen/gram) and wagyu (Japanese beef) sirloin (10 yen/gram). What if you’re not sure? Want to examine the meat first? Not a problem. You get to personally order your steak from a man who will slice it in front of your eyes.

REVIEW: CASIO EX-FR10 Action Cam (GALLERY; VIDEO) - AkihabaraNews.com
Sony has changed up the form factor a bit, JVC and Ricoh have gone for full-on assault drop Space Marine armour (for the glory of the imperium of man!), and Panasonic went with the duo of innovative mounting option and first-to-the-market 4k for theirs. In the end though, they all did basically the same thing: capturing the action. The one Japanese electronics behemoth that was noticeably absent from the fray was CASIO… until now.
