Starbucks Japan - 2014 "SAKURA" latte and frappuccino

As part of its 2014 "SAKURA" series, Starbucks Japan is going to release a seasonal cherry blossom-themed latte and frappuccino on February 15.

They are called "Sakura Chocolate Latte with Strawberry Flavor Topping" and "Sakura Chocolate Frappuccino with Strawberry Flavor Topping".

Sakura Chocolate Latte is a non-coffee drink including cherry blossom flavored white chocolate and strawberry flavored whipped cream and candy. Sakura Chocolate Frappuccino is a frozen version of the same drink.

Sakura Chocolate Latte with Strawberry Flavor Topping:
Short ¥430, Tall ¥470, Grande ¥510, Venti ¥550

Sakura Chocolate Frappuccino with Strawberry Flavor Topping:
Tall ¥510, Grande ¥550, Venti ¥590

There are lots of other items from the "SAKURA" series available such as tumblers and mugs. Since they are both seasonal and regional edition items, they could be great souvenirs for tourists!

Freshness Burger, one of Japan's largest homegrown burger chains, is going to start selling an egg benedict-like burger called Salmon Cheese Egg Burger (¥590) and Salmon Egg Burger (¥490).

Currently, a "red snow" crab croquette burger is available at McDonald's stores in Japan. It will be sold for only a limited period of time until early January.

Häagen-Dazs yesterday started selling new flavored ice cream from their Japanese-themed ice cream series "Japonais". The series is only available in Seven-Eleven stores in Japan.

The new flavor is called "Japonais Vanilla & Kinako Kuromitsu". Kinako means soybean flour, and kuromitsu means Japanese brown sugar syrup in English.
