Sony - Cyber-shot DSC-WX350 - weighs only 164g

Sony is going to release the compact digital camera DSC-WX350 from their Cyber-shot series for about ¥33,000 on March 7. DSC-WX350 is a successor model of the DSC-WX300, which was released in March 2013.

DSC-WX350 features an effective 18.2 MP 1/2.3 inch Exmor R CMOS sensor, image processor BIONZ X (same as the ones used for their mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera "α7" series), optical 20X zoom G Lens (equivalent to 25-500mm in 35mm format), and 3-inch monitor (0.46M dots).

DSC-WX350 is a Wi-Fi and NFC compliant model. So after taking photos, you can easily send them to your smartphone or tablet directly from the camera via a Wi-Fi connection. Also, by connecting the camera and your smartphone or tablet wirelessly, your smart device can work as a remote control for the camera, which allows you to be able to press the shutter button remotely.

A Flagship with Many Flags
On paper, the Casio EX-100 seems the greatest imaging device in the history of our species.

Nikon is going to release COOLPIX L30, a digital camera on January 30.

The COOLPIX L30 features a CCD image sensor, 20.05 million effective pixels in resolution, optical 5X zoom NIKKOR lens (an equivalent focal length of 26-130mm in 35mm terms), and 3-inch TFT LCD monitor (0.23 million dots).

You can use AA batteries for COOLPIX L30 so if the regular battery suddenly runs out, you can easily buy AA batteries anywhere and start using the camera again.

LUMIX GM5, the world's smallest mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera with an electronic viewfinder (EVF), is going to be released by Panasonic on November 13.

LUMIX GM5 is only 98.5mm wide and weighs 180g. The magnesium alloy body and aluminum dial give the camera a very high-quality look and feel.

Nikon is going to release Wi-Fi compliant slim digital camera COOLPIX S6800 on February 13.

The COOLPIX S6800 features an optical 12X zoom NIKKOR lens (16.02 effective pixels) of 25mm-300mm (in 35mm format), 24X Dynamic Fine Zoom, 3-inch TFT monitor (0.46 million dots), has 12 kinds of make-up effects such as Eye Shadow, Lip Color, and Mascara, and has a Hybrid VR (Vibration Reduction) system.
