Sony - Cyber-shot DSC-HX60V with optical 30X zoom lens & Wi-Fi/NFC

Sony is going to release new compact digital camera DSC-HX60V from their Cyber-shot series for about ¥40,000 on March 7.

DSC-HX60V features an effective 20.4 MP 1/2.3 inch backlight CMOS sensor, image processor BIONZ X (same as the ones used for their mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera "α7" series), optical 30X zoom G Lens (equivalent to 24-720mm in 35mm format), and 3-inch monitor (0.92M dots). It also has an exposure compensation dial, P, S, A, and M exposure mode, GPS, multi-interface shoe and Wi-Fi/NFC functions.

Panasonic is currently displaying the new LUMIX CM1, a digital camera with 1-inch sensor and Android 4.4, at Photokina 2014 in Cologne, Germany.

LUMIX CM1 is scheduled to be released for about EUR 899 at the end of this year in Germany first, and then it will be released worldwide at the beginning of 2015.

Panasonic is going to release the LUMIX DMC-LX100, the world's first compact digital point-and-shoot camera with a 4/3-inch sensor built-in, for about 103,000 yen on November 13.

Sony has changed up the form factor a bit, JVC and Ricoh have gone for full-on assault drop Space Marine armour (for the glory of the imperium of man!), and Panasonic went with the duo of innovative mounting option and first-to-the-market 4k for theirs. In the end though, they all did basically the same thing: capturing the action. The one Japanese electronics behemoth that was noticeably absent from the fray was CASIO… until now.

The next evolution of Casio’s market leading selfie camera gets upgraded innards and a new look for the Autumn/Winter 2014 season

LUMIX GM5, the world's smallest mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera with an electronic viewfinder (EVF), is going to be released by Panasonic on November 13.

LUMIX GM5 is only 98.5mm wide and weighs 180g. The magnesium alloy body and aluminum dial give the camera a very high-quality look and feel.

Casio is going to release compact digital camera EX-ZR50 on September 12 from its EXILIM series. The estimated price is 40,000 yen.
