Casio - EX-100 - F/2.8 10.7X optical zoom EXILIM flagship model
Casio is going to release the new flagship model of its EXILIM series - 10.7X optical zoom EX-100 - for about ¥90,000 in late March.
EX-100 features 28-300mm range f/2.8 aperture 10.7x optical zoom lens including 12 elements in 10 group lens contraction. It is compatible with macro photography from the shortest distance of 5cm and with telephotography from the shortest distance of 50cm.
It has a 1/1.7-inch back-lit CMOS sensor (12.1 effective pixels), image processing engine "EXILIM Engine HS3", tiltable 3.5-inch display (180-degree up and 55-degree down), Wi-Fi, and 5-axis image stabilization mechanism.
Regarding photography functions, it features: "Triple Shot" which takes 3 photos with one coming slightly "before" and one slightly after you press the shutter button, "Past Rensha" (meaning continuous shoot) that saves a maximum of 30 continuous photos with multiple photos being taken with a half-press of the shutter button, "AF Rensha" that takes a maximum 6fps continuous shot focusing on a moving object, "Interval Timer" that takes photos at regular intervals, and "Time-lapse" that records photos taken at regular intervals as one movie.
The EX-100 features a total of 7 bracketing combinations including the new white balance and saturation combination and the new white balance and contrast combination. Its predecessor, the EX-10 featured the world's first dual-combination bracketing function.
